I purchased an old Colt SAA for a shooter. It has an engraved cylinder with HN stamped in it. Derek says it is not a Colt cylinder, that it is likely from a replica. But the metal is soft like that from a 1st Generation Colt. A replica would be made from modern material. From what I have read Colt inspectors would not have stamped their initials into a cylinder for any reason. Does anyone have any idea what the story could be behind such a cylinder?
If you still own your Colt SAA stamped "HN" and if you would consider selling it, i may be an interested buyer. If so, please email me with a photograph of both sides & an asking price to makulu@msn.com
