President George Bush’s controversial choice for the Supreme Court has withdrawn her nomination. In Harriet Miers’ resignation letter she states “Protection of the prerogatives of the Executive Branch and continued pursuit of my confirmation are in tension. I have decided that seeking my confirmation should yield.” Hopefully the president will select a conservative constitutionalist with the necessary experience as the next nominee.

Ted Kennedy Embarrassed by Law Enforcement

a feature firearms first article for the month of October 2005

As you may already know, the “Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act” has already passed the Senate and now waits for Congress to move on it. However, did you know that Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy tried to debunk the bill by adding ludicrous gun control amendments leveraging police safety as reasoning? Furthermore, Senator Kennedy was humiliated when Law Enforcement opposed his amendments! Will this slap-in-the-face wake up the senile senator or is it just one of many times he has been caught in dishonest legislation manipulation motivated by warped ideology?

a feature firearms first article for the month of September 2005

Kimber Pro CDP II .45 AutoThe Smith & Wesson Model 637 is a 5-shot J-frame built with a stainless steel barrel and cylinder and an aluminum alloy frame with an exposed hammer. The standard model weighs only 15.5 ounces. The model 637 has an exposed hammer while the model 640 has no visible hammer, which makes for snagless conceal carry.

The recoil may be a hair strong for some lady shooters even though the grip is designed for smaller hands.

When compared to other pistols in its class, the Smith & Wesson Model 637 has more punch then most, and greater accuracy than comparable Glocks. Variations on the model offer even lighter weight.
